🏰 Fortnite Chapter4 Season2 🌟 End of "Fortnite Redemption Arc" Part4 🏯 Enter Q2 2023

Leaving off from our Enter FN Chapter4 :: "Fortnite Redemption Arc" Part3, things really felt like they were going further and beyond. My Streams were growing, I was improving and enjoying the game a lot & I got my own Epic Games Creator Code: KairiCaitlyn.

Fortnite Chapter4 Season2 was really incredible and featured possibly the most advanced & fun version of Fortnite to date.

The Sword & ODM Gear plus the loot pool at the time felt so perfect & incredible, the game never felt this fun before. The movement items added dynamics Fortnite players didn't have experience against, meanwhile for me they were new versions of familiar moves from other games.

This was honestly the peak of my time visiting the game, it's just unfortunate because of many factors this time period was short lived. During this time, we still had some amazing moments & I truly felt like I accomplished what I set out for. The name of this arc was the "Fortnite Redemption Arc", We came back to the game, played at a near top level like riding a bike, grew to become a Epic-Partner & I knew where I stood in the meta.

If I wanted to push further and beyond in Fortnite I honestly could, but there are so many factors that are making it so that path isn't the vibe for me going forward.

🦹🌠🏖️FORTNITE COMPETITIVE💣🌠💃

After doing those 2 fill cup competitions, I decided I didn't want to peruse competitive at the current time. I had more fun doing viewer games, getting people wins and being a content creator. Fortnite has a huge issue with like monopolies, stream snipers and clout chasers which is something I really don't want to deal with. I want to grow an organic community that is there for me (and the themes & vibe I go for) rather than my gameplay or toxic reasons.
The following clip below is an interesting example of where I stood in the game. I would not of even known it happened if Fortnite didn't have this dynamic I mentioned earlier, I eliminated a top player / streamer and a bunch of people came pouring into my friends twitch chat saying I beat him & asking who I was.
This moment above happened during a chill off-stream session with a Fortnite creator friend of mine, SeskaFuze was doing Squads with Viewer Games. I was in my W-key bodyguard mode so she could focus on chat/streaming and was slaying out teams before they could even threaten us. During one of these games, I happened to cross 2 of the most prominent competitive Fortnite Zero-Build streamers (Thiefs & Taacts) & the clip above tells that story - I ended that game with 22Kills [it was a 40something-bomb win].
After the win and finding out that I beat Thiefs, It didn't really give me the excitement I used to get when I eliminated top players in the past (not just Fortnite, Spellbreak mostly during my come up and prior game history I would be star struck & very hyped to interact with them). It just didn't surprise me at all, I knew what I was capable of, it did make me happy to see real results. At the same time, it made me sad because It confirmed my potential is there and I have to do more if I want to make it in Fortnite.

Around this time I entered FN Fill cup using a more anonymous approach (Organization XIII ;3) and saw massive results. I was very close to truly breaking into the next barrier.

It's very obvious if I put my all in, I could be a great player in Fortnite. I just don't have the same love for the game to put that all-in. There were a few things that needed to be tweaked like AR poke damage, giving players swords as part of their kit like a pickaxe [adding a built-in mobility would be the fix to make Fortnite zero build fun and balanced] & Balance grapple-based movement out better so they could use it like swords/hammer [CD base and anti-grav] to make it nearly perfect. Unfortunately, the changes they went for later on were not anywhere close to these suggestions. They ended up taking all the things I enjoyed about the game away.
Ranked mode also came out (in testing) and was super flawed [players nowhere near my skill level end up on my team as SoloQ, Progression system was flawed. People were getting into unreal easily meanwhile in Diamond I was getting paired with new players/low elos fighting Top200 duo stacked unreal players off drop who are perfectly drop mapping the spot in comms.
I couldn't take the mode seriously when I saw players of lesser skill then me hitting the next ranks with ease because they had a duo and the mode encouraged defensive play. It was just extremely unbalanced as a top skill solo, and I couldn't play with most of the people I knew [They simply were not good enough or there was an issue with playstyle (my playstyle was very unique due to my background so I couldn't find player that meshed with my playstyle / wanted to innovate in the meta).
I couldn't find a person of my caliber to play with in those regards, so I turned away from the ranked mode. From there, the game shifted when it ruined the balance by removing the mobility and destroying the loot pool in my opinion, so I stopped playing for now until they fix the game again. This is typically the story with Fortnite, they have these amazing seasons then change too much at once causing players to leave. I hope they realize this mistake soon and start to really find the identities of Fortnite and Fortnite: Zero Build. (Slightly older clips below I messed up the order, but it don't really matter just figured to note)
I still am shocked that I was able to get my own Creator Code (Use Code: KairiCaitlyn), something at one time I never dreamed would be possible. It's all leading toward the future that I am striving for. I always come back to fortnite at some point, I am done with the redemption arc for now but we will be back again on a more casual vibe. Thank you all so much for allowing this all to be possible, It's thanks to people like you that it drives me to keep going!
