🌟Variety Transition Arc - Mid Q1 2023 🏰 Pre - "Fortnite Redemption Arc" 🏯
Things have changed so much that one article couldn't contain the story. This is everything that has lead up to Fortnite Redemption Arc (Click to learn about our Return to Fortnite). When we left off last time, I (Kairi Caitlyn) was on a training arc in Naraka: Bladepoint, a Ninja Melee Battle Royale game. The experience went great but when we tried Fortnite everything changed. We also did our 1st EF Spellbreak Gathering which was a nice little time. MHUR is still off the radar and after a few magical experiences our focus has shifted toward Fortnite. Thank you all for the amazing support on this journey, I never know what lies beyond lately, but I'm still very eager to explore what interests me! 🌟
⚔️"Hey Kairi, What happened with Naraka: Bladepoint?"🗡️
Long story short, I still really enjoy the game but Fortnite happened. I love ninjas too much to never not like Naraka but Fortnite is clicking in a way I haven't felt since Spellbreak so I want to see where it takes me. Naraka was there for me do something different, learn some melee dynamics, re-connect with some old friends & see if it was something my community would want to be really part of. I had a great time playing the game, learning from old SB masters & closing the gap on the skilled players in the game.
I ended up peaking Top5 in North America with Ziping Yin & Top 300NA Peak in Duos after grinding Naraka: Bladepoint for a little over a month then floated at Rank6 for the remainder of my time grinding the game. I hit a point where it would require some practice [training mode for optimal combos/learning spacings/ect], research [understanding the matchups for weapons/characters on a deeper level, along with understanding the top players playstyles/decision making once hitting the level of execution required to go to par with them] & time in order to really hit the next level. I honestly don't want to invest that much time into that kind of task and was mostly doing this for fun and experience. My Naraka arc was mostly to prepare myself for the melee dynamics coming in My Hero Ultra Rumble so I slowed down the grind as I looked to see what was next.
Another thing that deterred the experiences was that I wasn't able to really connect with the Naraka community the way I had hoped. I had a lot of incredible support from some of the friends & content creators I met but there's a lot of dynamics that really need to be met in order to succeed in that game honestly. The people who are on top worked VERY hard to get there & are keeping the community active (a lot of respect to them).
At the end of the day I was a niche VTuber variety streamer visiting a smaller game on twitch, I did make some new friends & make some progress with my channel being there but I just didn't see it really benefit my content anymore. I had to really strategize if I wanted to find a way out of the rut I was starting to be in.
I still plan to play the game every once in a blue moon as a variety side game so keep an eye out for occasional late night sessions in the future!

We haven't forgotten about Spellbreak, but have had to continue to focus on what's ahead while still doing some stuff on the side for the community version of the game. I did a short training session & had a really nice time hanging out with people [while finding new tech & breaking the game]

THE SPELLBREAK SPEEDFORCE - EP 3 - DOCTOR STRANGE LANDS (A very theatrical but fun time)
The SBC EF Gathering went okay, We had a decent sized group and ran some TDMs/Dominion matches then ran some 1v1 matches later on. It was a nice time and I plan to try to do these once a month. The new version of the game allows for a lot of possibilities, it would be really cool to see where they all go one day.
VoD of the Gathering: Twitch was giving me issues trying to clip it. I will likely edit this session and add a few clips from the 1v1s vs julius_cabral later [Skip toward end of the SB Session for some solid 1v1s]
